Copyright 2011 Boyscout Troop 622
Our troop might just be a good fit for you... a troop to enjoy your scouting experience and make the most of it.
The
Scouting program has 3 objectives, referred to as the "Aims of Scouting":
1.) character development 2.) citizenship
training 3.) personal fitness.
Troop 622 works hard in structuring our schedule of events to give scouts a method
by which to achieve the "Aims of Scouting"
Our Troop has planned a great schedule of events for 2011
7 weekend campouts... caves...
canoeing... horseback riding...
Other fun activities include...
- January 24 hour fire food drive
- sledding -
mini-putting - scuba diving - laser tag - water sports - downhill skiing
- Annual scouts vs.
parents kick ball challenge
(parents are on a 8 yr. winning streak ...you can help turn that around!)
In between the campouts and other activities are troop and patrol meetings. This is the heart of the troop where scouts work on their
achievements, interact in small groups with their patrols, learn and pratice leadership skills, and enjoy the recognition of rank
advancement.
